A new breakthrough in lens design has meant that contact lenses are safer than before. Researchers at John Hopkins University have discovered a substance that may be useful in repelling bacteria from contact lenses. Most of the few complications that can arise from contact lens use by bacteria.
The discovery was of fan boy researchers who specialize in biomaterials and nonmaterial engineering. Earlier in life, Ms. Young had said that the wearing of contact lenses, you could keep an eye infection. This spurred them on, one way to reduce this possibility. Their inspiration came from a laboratory experiment, where she was looking for a connection, resulting in bacteria. There were some connections that simply are not in bacteria, and these provided the inspiration for her work on the creation of an anti-bacterial contact lens material. Read more »
