The old boast that the webmaster in the mid to late 90s, you could find almost anything on the web, although enthusiastic, somewhat exaggerated in those days.
If not now, however.
2008 and the Internet is the largest global communications system in history – and it is difficult to see what they ever break from such a lofty position.
Apart from a few disadvantages, that this mighty “Goldfish Bowl chat” brings, there are some significant advantages.
You can find just about anything on just about any topic you care to mention.
You can talk with people literally the other side of the world for free (apart from your broadband fee per month) with the Internet phone capability as demonstrated so perfectly, Skype, and related clones.
You can use your old on the auction sites and buy other peoples of the body of the sale you just one minute before.
But most importantly for many people – you find and buy only in combination, what you want, your everyday normal things for a lot less than if you had to the local shops or centers.
As the name would suggest this article, I am with a focus on contact lenses, cheap contact lenses, to be exact.
Cheap contact lenses are very easy to find – just Google, Yahoo or MSN and type in “cheap contact lenses (including the speech marks) and you will get back page after page of sites selling cheap lenses.
That does now opens a page called Just Lenses are selling off the upper end of the scale Acuvue lenses for almost 40% of the normal price.
Not bad!
But – and this is a ‘but’ you have the responsibility, even if you have to use the ‘net for low-cost procurement of goods.
People, including myself is to say, blithely trust and believe, assume that what we see, read or purchase from the Web is real, clean as a whistle and quality by numerous agencies, inspections and makes the by serious production control, laws and controls.
Unfortunately – this is not the case.
We need to take responsibility for monitoring and review everything we get from the web before we use it, and we must ensure that we do it twice if it is something as potentially damaging as KL.
In addition to the ongoing sound checks on the website-based company you are about to purchase (check their returns policy, compensation details and authenticity guarantee), we must also ensure that we will give everything to us sever check.
Can you imagine the horror if you bought something like cheap lenses from a company that markets on the web, buy their product without a license from a manufacturer in a country where the quality control checks and are non-existent and ships it straight out, without self-control.
